This conference is also spotlighting a new Youth Track and “Advanced” adult workshop topics geared especially for returning participants, in addition to a unique opportunity to enroll in the NIH-funded Brain AVM research study.

 PARENTS OF CHILDREN WITH HHT

• To participate in the Youth Program, you must complete a separate registration form for each child.
• There is an IRS ruling that permits parents to deduct “expenses of admission and transportation to a medical conference relating to the chronic disease of the individual’s dependent”. (See IRS Bulletin No. 2000-19, May 8, 2000)

 BRAIN AVM STUDY

The HHT Foundation will begin the Brain AVM research recruitment at this conference. To participate in this study, you must be diagnosed with a brain AVM, regardless of whether or not the brain AVM is treated or untreated. All participants in this research study will be scheduled for a one-half hour consultation on October 22nd, 23rd, 0r 24th with a nurse and a physician before, during, or after the conference sessions.
