Olitsky Climb
February 2, 2012

On February 2nd, Allan and Scott Olitsky started their 8 day journey up the 19,340 ft. of Mt. Kilimanjaro to once again raise awareness for HHT, the disease that has affected five generations of their family. To read more about this event  or make a donation, Click Here.

Scott and Allan were successful on many levels. To reach the summit was a personal victory, but they also raised $11,650 for the HHT Foundation  as our banner flew at the top of the mountain. The awareness raised for HHT spanned from the African continent to a local TV station in Philadelphia, PA.  Click Here to watch the video (you have to watch the 15 second commercial before you can see the news clip) and read the published story. Gulf Coast KITE FEST for HHT
Navarre Beach, FL
January 28, 2012

This was the new Gulf Coast RNA’s first event  and what a great day at the beach! Dozens of kites flown, amazing beach combing, lots of family fun, and a perfectly breezy day for it! Even a photographer from the local paper covered the event. Everyone enjoyed the sand dunes, pinwheels, kites, beach combing, and balloons. The event was advertised in the local papers and even picked up by the local radio station.

Approximately 200 people came to enjoy the warm Florida sun and watch the kites, as well as to find out,“What does ‘HHT’ stand for?”  Although the event was totally free, we were able to raise $426 for the HHT Foundation through generous donations made before and during the event.

Kites were flown for over 3 hours in memoriam of: Charles Harding, Edith A. Gillis Marion M. Michel, Sarah (Nathan) Hale, and Hailey Geller. For those that missed the event and would like to make a donation please go to http://hht.org/donate/general/ and please make a note in the comment section at the bottom to mention the Gulf Coast Kite Fest.

I thank you for helping make this Kite Fest such success and inspiration.
